1) What this policy covers (interim scope)

This interim policy applies to our under-construction website and to our subscription form (“Founder’s List” / “Private Preview”). We currently collect limited personal data to manage requests for updates and private previews. Additional services (e-commerce, client portal, analytics, cookies beyond essential, etc.) will be covered by an updated policy at launch.


2) Who we are (data controller)

For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Martine Neige is the data controller of the personal data collected via our subscription form and related email communications. You can contact us at enquiries@martineneige.com for any privacy matter.


3) The data we collect

Provided by you (via form / email reply):

  • First name (required), Last name (optional)
  • Email address (required)
  • City / Country (optional)
  • Areas of interest (e.g., Homeware, Wallcoverings & Textiles, Yachting, Private Commissions, Trade)
  • Role (e.g., Private Client, Architect/Designer, Retail, Press)
  • Preferred language (English / Français / Italiano)
  • “How did you find us?” and any message you include

Collected automatically (minimal):

  • Subscription metadata: date/time of consent and confirmation (double opt-in)
  • Technical data needed for delivery (e.g., email headers).
  • We may anonymise or not store IP depending on your consent settings; if stored, IP is used only for security and compliance.

Email engagement data (optional):

  • Basic open/click tracking in our emails to understand interest and improve relevance. You can opt out at any time by unsubscribing.

4) Purposes & legal bases

  • Manage your request and send updates / invitations (e.g., private previews, launch news, bespoke services): Consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
  • Record-keeping of consent (double opt-in) and security: Legal obligation / Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(c)/(f)).
  • Basic performance insights (open/click rates) to keep communications useful and infrequent: Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)), balanced with your rights and expectations. You can unsubscribe anytime.

5) How we send emails (processors)

We use reputable providers to deliver emails and host our site. These providers act as data processors under our instructions. They may include:

  • Email & newsletter delivery (e.g., WordPress “Newsletter” plugin and/or an SMTP service)
  • Website hosting
    We keep an up-to-date list of processors and will reflect any change in the next policy update.

6) International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the EEA. Where this occurs, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., adequacy decisions or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses). You may request details via enquiries@martineneige.com.


7) Retention

  • Subscription records (consent and email) are retained until you unsubscribe or after 24 months of inactivity, whichever comes first.
  • Administrative logs (e.g., double opt-in confirmations) may be retained longer if required for compliance.
